Shanghai strives to introduce 800 brand first stores this year

Yesterday morning, in the context of the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the "2022 Shanghai Business Briefing" hosted by the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce was held in the form of "main venue + branch venues" and "online +offline". Officials from the consulate generals of various countries in Shanghai and representatives of foreign trade promotion agencies in Shanghai attended the meeting at the main venue and participated in the on-site Q&A interaction.

Gu Jun, director of the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce, introduced that in 2022, Shanghai will stabilize the stock, increase the volume, and improve the Excellent environment to promote the high quality operation of business work in Shanghai. The main measures include: continue to create a new benchmark for consumption trends, build a multi-level consumer business district, and continuously optimize the consumption environment. In 2022, Shanghai will strive to introduce 20 new international brands and 800 first brand stores, build 3 4 digital business districts with demonstration and driving effects, and launch 50 mother infant friendly shopping malls.

Continue to build new advantages in foreign trade development, accelerate the innovative development of service trade, and deepen the reform of the business environment for cross border trade. This year, Shanghai will actively build an offshore trade center city and promote the number of offshore economic and trade enterprises under the free trade account to exceed 600. Deepen the construction of a comprehensive pilot zone for cross border e commerce, and strive to increase the import and export of cross border e commerce by more than 20%. A new batch of international trade distribution demonstration enterprises shall be cultivated, and the scale of international trade distribution shall be maintained above one trillion yuan.

Continue to explore new prospects for opening up, implement higher level opening up, fully implement the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), and carefully hold the fifth CIIE. Promote the local legislation of the CIIE, and comprehensively improve the level of urban service guarantee.

Continue to create a foreign investment environment, intensify efforts to attract investment, strengthen targeted services for enterprises, study and revise support policies, strive for the establishment of headquarters of multinational companies, and encourage the construction of foreign investment open innovation platforms. In 2022, Shanghai will ensure that 60 regional headquarters of multinational companies and 25 foreign R&D centers will be added throughout the year.
